A McGhee education prepares you for the challenges and the opportunities of a globalized world. As a McGhee student, you will have extensive opportunities to study abroad through McGhee's own unique travel programs as well as those offered by NYU. Some travel programs are specifically tailored to meet the needs of working professionals who may not have the option of travelling for extended periods of time.
Ensuring that McGhee students acquire the knowledge and the dexterity necessary to achieve and to succeed personally and professionally is a critical component of our educational mission. The McGhee Division offers several initiatives that help to broaden student perspectives and to develop and refine communications skills. These include global learning and the Summer Intensive in Creative Writing.
The Summer Intensive in Creative Writing is a two-week program that provides poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers with the opportunity to develop their creative process and to refine their craft. Workshops in improvisation, poetry, and prose are conducted by McGhee faculty members and by distinguished visiting writers. This program is offered as both a noncredit and a four-credit course.
