Staff Bios

Jeannie Liakaris

Jeannie Liakaris serves as the assistant dean of the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She joined NYU in January 2012, and hired a dynamic team to launch the new Center—a partnership between the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development and the NYU School of Professional Studies. She oversees the long-term strategy for the Center, while continuing to meet with students as well as to work closely with employers, connecting them to NYU talent.

Prior to joining NYU, Jeannie had worked at both public and private universities, managing career counseling teams and employer relations at the MBA, graduate, and undergraduate levels, as well as working with Women for Hire as a national career coach for experienced professionals. Previous to that, she worked in brand management, and she also grew up gaining experience in a family business.

She has been featured, as an expert in career management, across a variety of media outlets and in publications, including Fox Business and Women for Hire magazine. She also has appeared on the cable show The Job Hunt. In addition, she has served as a speaker and a panelist at numerous events including the Women in Leadership Conference at St. John's University and the WCBS 880AM Working Women's Breakfast, Big Career in the Big City. She is on the advisory boards of NY Creative Interns and America's Amazing Teen Project.

Jeannie earned a BS in Marketing from New York Institute of Technology and an MBA from Hofstra University. She is an avid kick boxer, with a blue belt in Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu, and loves to spend time with her family.


Rachel Frint

Rachel Frint is an associate director of the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She spearheads and manages the career development strategy for experienced professionals, career changers, and new professionals as well as collaborates with stakeholders to provide added support to the international student community. In her role, she works closely with students through one-on-one coaching appointments, designs and executes engaging career programming, and partners with employers to increase career opportunities for students.

Previously, Rachel worked at the NYU Stern School of Business in the MBA Office of Career Development. Prior to joining NYU in 2008, she worked in legal recruiting. Rachel earned a master's degree from NYU in higher education and student affairs, with a focus on global education, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Muhlenberg College. Outside of the Wasserman Center, Rachel enjoys yoga, spinning, traveling, exploring Hoboken, and spending time at the New Jersey Shore.

Brittany Baron

Brittany Baron is a senior assistant director and career coach at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She manages employer relations and oversees operational strategy in collaboration with the Wasserman Center's associate directors and assistant dean. Brittany earned her bachelor's degree from the Ohio State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education and student affairs at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Prior to joining NYU, she worked in the nonprofit sector managing early education and advocacy programs. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time outdoors with her husband, sons, and dog.

Sasha Goldfarb

Sasha Goldfarb is an assistant director and career coach at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She joined NYU in November 2015, working in the MBA Office of Career Development at the NYU Stern School of Business. In January 2017, Sasha transitioned to her current role as a career coach at the Wasserman Center, where she is pursuing her passion to help students with all stages of their career development.

Sasha earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Maryland at College Park and is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education and student affairs at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She also holds a Certificate in Coaching from the NYU School of Professional Studies. Prior to joining NYU, Sasha spent five years working for both a large media agency and a public relations start-up. In her spare time, Sasha enjoys yoga, the outdoors, long walks, traveling, and interior design.  

Erica McMahon

Erica Mason is an associate director of the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She oversees developing the employer relations strategy to promote students and programs. In addition, she manages the day-to-day operational strategy for the office and its dynamic team members. Prior to joining NYU, Erica worked as a diversity recruiter for Credit Suisse and served in Kazakhstan for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. She earned a BS in Information Management from Syracuse University and an MS in Human Resources Management at the NYU School of Professional Studies. Erica loves traveling, has been to over 15 countries, and plans to visit many more.

Attiqa Nadeem

Attiqa Nadeem is an assistant director and career coach at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She works with students to help guide them in their career trajectory, and she also collaborates with employers on industry engagement. Attiqa holds a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Hunter College, City University of New York (CUNY) and a master's degree in public administration from NYU. Prior to joining NYU in January 2017, Attiqa spent eight years working in different areas of higher education, including student services and assessment, career services, and alumni affairs for public and nonprofit institutions. In her spare time, Attiqa enjoys practicing archery, traveling, and playing tennis. 

Edwin Raagas

Edwin Raagas is an assistant director and career coach at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. He also manages the strategy around NYUSPS JobPaths, the career development suite for the School's Diploma Program students. Edwin is a career changer, with his prior experience having been primarily in event marketing and brand management; he has worked for the New York Stock Exchange, CME Group, and a digital marketing agency in Australia. He earned a BBA in marketing from Hofstra University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education and student affairs at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Outside of the office he volunteers for groups that cultivate his passion for mentoring and education. Edwin sits on the advisory board of FindSpark and recently led colleges in funding classroom building and feeding programs with Advancement for Rural Kids (ARK). He is an avid traveler, whose most recent trips have included India and Tanzania. He also enjoys weekend brunches and seeing shows.

Diana deProphetis

Diana deProphetis is the manager of operations and events at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She manages employer relations and their hiring needs and works closely with the Wasserman Center's assistant directors, associate directors, and assistant dean on event and office operations and logistics. Prior moving to New York and joining NYU, Diana worked at Wachovia Bank for five years and at Yadkin Valley Bank for one year. She earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies from West Chester University in Pennsylvania, and she is currently pursuing a master's degree in higher education and student affairs at the NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. Diana loves running, going to the movies, and cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Carolina Panthers.

Fabuola Lemy

Fabuola Lemy is an administrative aide at the NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development at the NYU School of Professional Studies. She manages the front desk and student workers, assists employers with posting internship and employment opportunities on NYU CareerNet, schedules appointments, and creates student accounts. Prior to joining NYU, she was an executive coordinator at the Waldorf Astoria New York. Fabuola earned a bachelor’s degree in public policy and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resources management. She loves helping others and is excited to be part of the Wasserman team. Fabuola enjoys traveling, seeing Broadway shows, and spending time with her family and friends.
