M.S. in Digital Imaging and Design

There is high demand in the entertainment industry for computer graphics artists, supervisors, and managers skilled in the creation of digital content. Companies look for designers and creators who understand the art of visual communication and posses the skills to work in a highly technological production environment.

Together with our industry partners, NYU’s Center for Advanced Digital Applications (CADA) has developed a multidisciplinary curriculum in which students focus on animation, technical direction, digital visual effectsand motion graphics. Our faculty of industry professionals teaches real-world production techniques and challenges our students to develop concepts, designs, and effective technical solutions for stunning computer graphics.

Students learn the theoretical and practical foundations of digital imaging then choose a specialization of either 2D or 3D production courses. We emphasize the creation of original content in project work related to each student's individual professional goals
